Two of the most admired contemporary novelists join Libby Purves to consider the contemporary novel. Both their latest novels are a study of how we live now and the often destructive mores of relationships are the central theme. Writer and journalist, Amanda Craig’s latest novel, Lie of The Land, was a Guardian Book of the Year and her last novel, Hearts And Minds, was long-listed for the Bailey’s Prize. Diana Evans is a British author of Nigerian and English descent. Her bestselling novel, 26a, won the inaugural Orange Award for New Writers and the British Book Awards deciBel Writer of the Year prize.  Libby Purves has had an exceptional broadcasting career from Radio 4’s Today Programme to Midweek as well as being The Times Theatre Critic for many years.
