On the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War, Loft Theatre Company present a vivid dramatisation of the Great War based on the poems and letters of Wilfred Owen, and arranged to tell the story of the War from the enthusiastic send-off, through battles and military hospitals, to the final ‘drawing down of blinds’. These brilliant poems will be delivered in dramatic settings, some spoken by soldiers and some by the women who observe them, with songs and hymns from the period.

Devised and written by David Fletcher

'Writer-director David Fletcher has applied a powerful and stately eloquence to the vivid horrors of a dreadful conflict. They are brought to life in a provocative studio drama format where the sheer confrontational effect makes the messages ring out loudly and clearly.'
