Elmer The Patchwork Elephant

Elmer the patchwork elephant loves to make his friends laugh but he’s tired of being different. When he hides his ‘true colours’ and tries to blend in, he discovers, with help from his friends, that he’s happiest just being himself. Join Elmer on a vibrant, musical safari through the jungle to celebrate everything that makes us unique. Presented by Riverside Performing Arts and adapted from the well loved children’s book, Elmer by David McKee published by Andersen Press this show will delight younger audiences.

Four of the country’s best children’s illustrators, Sarah McIntyre, Philip Reeve, Rob Biddulph, and Jonny Duddle, go head to head to draw your suggestions in a fun interactive session with lots of audience participation!
The Jolly Roger’s Pirate Adventures Jonny Duddle

Yo Ho Ho! Meet the author of The Pirate Cruncher and The Pirates Next Door series and hear him read from his hilarious books. Join in with live drawing and help Jonny to draw the perfect pirate and give an exclusive reading from his brand new book, The Pirates of Scurvy Sands, before it’s published.
Lesser Spotted Animals Martin Brown

The Horrible Histories illustrator invites you to explore the world of lesser spotted animals, ranging from the numbat to the zorilla. Discover these unusual creatures that you never knew you needed.
Sunk! Rob Biddulph
3-3.45pm 3-6 years
Join the awardwinning author of Blown Away and Odd Dog Out in a brand new adventure and learn how to draw his most endearing characters.
