The woman who veteran journalist Charles Wheeler described as having ‘the most beautiful voice on radio, ever’, Jenni Murray has presented Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour for nearly 25 years. Describing herself as a feminist, she began her broadcasting career in local radio in Bristol, presented Newsnight on BBC2 and Today on Radio 4, before inheriting the Woman's Hour chair from Sue MacGregor in 1987.

She is the author of The Woman's Hour: A History of Women Since World War II, Is It Me or Is It Hot In Here: A Modern Woman's Guide to the Menopause and That's My Boy! A Guide for Parents. She writes for various newspapers and magazines, including The Daily Mail, and will be talking about her two most recent books Memoirs of a Not So Dutiful Daughter and My Boy Butch, as well as her remarkable career, with her characteristic candour.
