Five Chances - WWI in Words and Music

Sun 22nd April 2018
7.00pm - 8.30pm
Stratford ArtsHouse

The First World War elicited some of the finest and most moving writing in history. To mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the war and the death of Wilfred Owen, arguably its most memorable casualty, we bring you an evening of music and readings from not just the most notable British poets, but also German soldiers, soldiers’ diaries from the trenches, and poetry and writing from the women left behind at home. Readings by Dame Harriet Walter, and also featuring music and readings from students at Warwick School, Kingsley School and King Edwards School.
