We live in a multi-linked world where every thought is aired and shared - for good and ill. Previously taboo subjects are finally acceptable, but FOMO and other people’s ’successes’ can make us anxious. Radio 4’s Paddy O’Connell talks to Twitter Europe Vice President Bruce Daisley and journalist Pandora Sykes about the difference between the pursuit of perfection, and what true happiness really looks like. Bruce’s career has included working at Google and YouTube, he delivered the popular podcast Eat Sleep Work Repeat and his new book is called The Joy of Work. They’ll discuss social media, life’s absurdities and how we can find happiness on our own terms. Pandora Sykes is a journalist and speaker, who had written about zeitgeist issues for The Sunday Times, The Guardian, The Telegraph, GQ, and ELLE (where she is a Contributing Editor) amongst other titles. She is also the co-host of the biggest women’s podcast in the UK, The High Low, which discusses the pop-culture and current affairs talking points from across the week and is a frequent panel host and radio commentator.
