On the eightieth anniversary of the start of the Second World War, two celebrated authors discuss their books which explore the theme of the Jewish experience of WW2. Kim’s prize-winning novel, Testament, follows a young woman uncovering the truth about her family’s past in the Hungarian Holocaust. Jeremy Dronfield’s book, The Boy Who Followed His Father into Auschwitz, is the inspiring, true story of a father and son’s fight to stay together and to survive the unspeakable trauma that affected so many in World War Two.
