Perfect for writers beginning to give shape to their stories or needing support with structure, lead by the novelist and non-fiction author with a broad background in the publishing industry and now fellow of creative writing at Oxford Brookes University. Simon will help you create a structure to your writing, guiding you through the story arc and how to keep readers engaged. Simon is the author of three novels of black comedy for adults, The Great English Nude, which won a Betty Trask Award, Death of a Fantasist and Lives of the Dog-Stranglers. His novels for children and young adults include The Quigleys. Moon Pie, which was shortlisted for the Guardian Children’s Fiction Prize, and Running Girl. Simon’s recent crime novels include A Killing in November and The Broken Afternoon.
