Books with Friends

Do you love to read?

Book with Friends is a free, monthly, informal book group especially aimed at people who are over 55 - and is the chance to share a love of books, a cup of tea and a chat with likeminded people.

We hope the book group will be particularly enjoyed by people who find themselves lonely and isolated for any number of reasons - through bereavement, illness or simply losing touch with their family and friends - or who find they have a little too much time on their hands.

Come along to a monthly meeting on the last Thursday of the month in the centre of Stratford to chat about a chosen book you'll have read in advance. As well as discussing the book, you can enjoy a cup of tea and the chance to meet people.

The group is lead by enthusiastic, experienced booklovers. There will be no pressure to produce amazing literary insights. The focus Is on a shared an enjoyment of books with likeminded people, and meetings are friendly, informal and fun.

The books we talk about will be readily available at the library and, thanks to the generous support of Stratford Town Trust and otehr supporters, Books with Friends is free to join and books, audio books and listening devices can be loaned to members free of charge where necessary. We can also help with transport where necessary.

Venue: Hotel Indigo (Formerly The Falcon), Church Street, Stratford upon Avon
