The multi award-winning theatre and film director (and former director of the National Theatre) joins us to discuss his storied career and the art and alchemy of making theatre. From stewarding smash hits like The History Boys, The Madness of King George, The Lady in the Van and War Horse, to opening the doors of the National to a wider audience than ever before, and changing the public’s perception of what theatre is for, few people have influenced the British stage as much as Hytner.
